Council's Financial Statements - 30 June 2009
Council’s external Auditor, Auswild & Co provided for Council’s information the financial reports and audit reports for the financial year 30 June 2009. In the report the auditors stated as follows “we note in particular the unrestricted current ratio (which is a measurement of Council’s ability to meet its financial obligations) of 7.99 which compares very favourably with the industry generally. With a satisfactory (and increasing) debt service commitment of 2.8% and a manageable rates outstanding ratio of 5.04% Lockhart Shire Council should be well pleased with its performance indicators.”The Council’s Auditor will be in attendance at the November meeting of the Council to respond to any questions which might be raised. This meeting will be held at the Osborne Recreation Ground.
